In an earlier article we concluded that muscles must be worked to failure if an adequate hypertrophic response is to occur. Whether this involves one or more sets is irrelevant as in either scenario the muscles must be worked to failure and beyond. This causes significant microscopic damage to the muscle tissues and it is during the period of recovery that protein synthesis undertakes the repair process that results in bigger muscle fibers.
But how long does this process take and when is it safe to expose those same muscles to further intensive exercise? Scientific studies suggest that muscle fiber degradation takes approximately five to seven days to repair and recover. Any further exposure of the affected muscle to intensive activity will interfere with the recovery process and actually prevent it from achieving maximum growth. However, using the muscle to assist in exercising other body parts or even taking part in low intensity aerobic exercise will not prevent recovery.
It follows therefore that each muscle group should be trained intensively only once each week in order to allow full recovery. This can be achieved by incorportating a split training regime that allows you to work out several times each week but still exercise each muscle group intensively only once every seven days.

Link exchanges are a very important tool in driving traffic to your site. With proper management of keywords in the anchor text, your web site will have a higher search engine placement for those keywords.
We all know the legend of how Bloggers used the keywords “miserable failure” in the anchor text to link to President Bush’s web site. When you searched for those keywords, the President’s site was at the top of the list.
The power of one-way linking is very evident in this case. But how would you go about getting one-way links to your site?
It’s simpler than you think and it’s very effective. I use a three-step process — which includes keyword management — to obtain one way links. In a nutshell, it involves commenting on Blogs, Article Marketing and Joint Ventures. This is a continuous Website marketing plan taking minimal effort.
Keyword Management
I like to use a set of related keyword phrases instead of just a single phrase. This gives broader exposure to search engine queries in addition to giving your site a common theme. In each one of the three steps you need to rotate to a new set of keywords. Rotate the set about once a month for all your link campaigns.
The other aspect to Keyword Management is to throttle your links. Search Engines, especially Google, look at link growth rate. For example, if too many sites link to your site at once, Google will think your links are derived from Blog Comment Spam or a link farm and may de-list your site.
Comment on Blogs
Commenting on Blogs provides a one-way link back to your site. Google for “blog topic,” where “topic” matches your site content and you will get a list of Blogs that you can comment on. When you comment on Blog articles, write a short observation like “I agree with you, but have you considered…?”
If you’re bold, use the keywords you are trying to rank higher for or use your site name for the name field in the comment form. The name field is the anchor text associated with the link back to your site. In both cases, provide an honest opinion so that the Blog owner will not filter out your comment as Spam.
Write Articles
Writing articles about a favorite subject will help you two-fold. Number one, you can add a resource link back to your site giving you a one-way-link and second, the article is a marketing tool which will help you consummate the sale you are trying to market to the end user.
Rotate your anchor text in your article then submit them to different article directories for republication. Another benefit of changing your article slightly is that you will know which article houses will give you broader distribution exposure.
Joint Ventures
I rarely participate in link exchanges. It really takes up too much of my time to get into “if you link to me I’ll link to you” type of link management. However, I do offer anyone linking to my sites a joint venture opportunity.
If I’m promoting products sold on Clickbank, I will pass on the linker’s Clickbank Id onto the publishers so that the linker will get credit for the sale. I really don’t mind helping out someone who is willing help promote my sites.

Ultimately, you are trying to build a network of traffic that will bring people to your site. With one-way link exchanges, via the use of articles, Blogs, and Joint Ventures, you building a network that will drive traffic to your site.

In the years of game making, there have been a number of games that have come out that have become classics. We continue to play them, even 30 to 50 years later, such as the great game Monopoly. But not every game in the world ever created has become a classic. Many a game has come and gone without making even a dent into the popularity market. While there are way too many of these “turkeys” to cover, we’re going to review just a few of what many people consider some of the worst games of all time.
Back in 1969 there was a game by the name of “Radar Search” which consisted of an electronic board with two sides. The one side was the spy with his two ships trying to get to a certain place on the board and then back to his hideout. The other side is the agent who has a helicopter. He tries to find the spy before he gets to the location and back to his hideout. The game features a radar scope which the agent can use every other turn to “spot” the spy. The scope was a joke, the game was a joke and the people who created this disaster, IDEALogists LLC, should have been ashamed of themselves for every putting out such garbage. This game gets an average rating of about 3 out of 10 stars, which is actually quite generous.
In 1963, to cash in on the popularity of the TV series “Combat”, Ideal came out with a Combat board game. But if you’re looking for anything nearly as exciting as the TV show, this game is going to come as a big disappointment. The object of the game is to take over the enemy headquarters and capture all the enemy soldiers. There is a spinner that is used for moving your pieces and also for all escape and capture decisions. The game is quite honestly, pretty dull and didn’t last long.
Probably one of the stupidest game of all time, though actually quite popular for a while, was the “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots”. There was nothing complicated about this game. It contained a boxing ring with two robots. One red and one blue. The robots were controlled by the players using controls that were connected to them through the back of each side of the ring. The players would simply punch away at each other until one of the robots got hit in the head causing it to pop up. This was pretty mindless stuff, even for 1967 when it was released by Mattel. This game gets an average user rating of about 4 out of 10. Believe it or not, this game was actually released again in 2002.
These are just few of the really bad games that have come out over the years. The amazing thing about all these games is that somebody somewhere bought them. And as long as there are people to buy whatever junk comes out, that junk will continue to be made. Thank goodness for games like Monopoly.

If you are a regular exerciser and on the day after a hard workout, you never feel soreness in your muscles, you are not exercising properly and you will not improve your fitness level as much as you could. Take a tip from competitive athletes who train by taking a hard workout, feeling sore on the next day and then take easy workouts until the soreness goes away in a day or two.
The good soreness that makes you stronger is called DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) and is caused by microscopic tears in your muscle fibers. It is not caused by lactic acid buildup. When muscles are damaged, they produce healing prostaglandin that cause muscles to become bigger and stronger than before they were exercised vigorously. Researchers have shown that DOMS heals faster when you do nothing, but if you take off every time your muscles feel sore, you will never become an athlete and you will not reach a high level of fitness. When you exert very slight pressure on your muscles when you have DOMS, you cause muscle fibers to become more fibrous and they will become stronger so they can withstand greater stress during your harder workouts. Never try to put a lot of pressure on your muscles when they feel sore. That will markedly increase your chances of injuring yourself.
It is relatively easy to tell the difference between DOMS and an impending injury. DOMS is usually symmetrical, involving muscles equally on both sides of your body. An injury is more likely to cause pain that is only on one side. DOMS does not feel worse as you exercise at light intensity. An injury worsens with continued use of the injured part. Stop exercising when you have an injury.
When your muscles feel sore from exercising, take the day off or exercise with very light resistance, such as running or cycling very slowly, or lifting extremely light weights. Try stretching gently to help restore flexibility. Deep massage may help you to heal faster and toughen your muscles. Creams and ice will not help you recover faster, but many aspirin-containing creams and the coldness from ice may help alleviate discomfort.

If you have never heard of IDN domain names, you likely soon will. This is because the most used and popular internet browser in the world, Internet Explorer (IE7), will soon beging to resolve them by default. This means people from all over the world will finally be able to communicate websites, domain names and urls in their native languages. Many people feel this will mark a turning point in internet history. But just what is IDN and why are they so important?
IDNs are domain names that are written in foreign languages like Chinese, Japanese or Russian. IDN stands for Internationalized Domain Name. Most domain names that people are familiar with are written using the latin/english 26 character alphabet (or numbers), in an encoding called ASCII. This is because the internet was designed from the beginning to work using ASCII. IDN allows for the use of non ASCII characters in domain names.
IDN presently acheives this by using what is known as unicode, a foreign language encoding, to display the foreign language domain. The IDN can be converted by the browser via a number of algorithms to what is known as punycode, which is an ASCII version of the IDN, which can easily resolve with the current internet system. Punycode domains can be identified by their “xn--” beginning. The web browser performs the conversions and resolves the domain name into the correct unicode language.
Up until now, only a few browsers could/would convert IDNs. There have also been issues with IDNs regarding security and what is known as IDN spoofing and homograph attacks, where similar looking characters could be used to create look alike domain names. But with IE7 on board, and developing security refinements, the world moves closer to global IDN resolution. With IDN, people all over the world will be able to type domain names in their languages and visit sites that may be there. Businesses will be able to advertise their sites in the correct language. It’s risky business allowing your children to play games online. I know that may sound funny but I have a good argument to back up my opinion. If you continue reading I will share it with you.
I work from home on my computer; my computer is my livelihood and it is how I make my money. Allowing my kids to play on my computer also makes my computer susceptible to ad aware, spam and the like. For someone that works from home, this can be a very big problem if my computer ends up infected with a virus! Every single time I go to a cheat code site for my son, I have to go remove the entire ad aware I just picked up. Not to mention that due to my working, I can’t always let him sit and play his games and we were both frustrated.
We than saw an ad to rent games online, we have been happy ever since! I have the games shipped to my house, there are no late fees and the monthly fee is a flat rate for unlimited rentals. As you can see, this a win/win situation for us! He gets to play all games he wants and I get to keep my computer.
Rent games online will also save you time and money! No longer will you have to go wait in line to rent a game, you can now have them sent to your door - I have to tell you, this is my favorite part. Along with saving money of course!

The worst form of loss is the loss of our dear and near ones. We only wish that it didn’t happen to our loved ones. Death is inevitable. People prepare against natural and man-made calamities, which take lives by the hundreds. Man bereaves and normal life continues. But one never forgets deaths caused by someone else’s negligence, and one naturally expects justice for those deeds.
Deaths deliberately caused by someone else, like murders, are dealt with by each state through criminal laws. Criminal law trials have different procedures for establishing the motive and presenting evidence.
Deaths can also be caused by someone or somebody unintentionally, or due to negligent behavior. They can happen in many ways. In cases of the patient-physician relationship, deaths can happen due to misdiagnosis of disease or using the wrong procedure. Deaths can also happen in industrial situations, or in the transportation of passengers. In order to deal with these situations, each state has enacted laws known as ‘wrongful death statutes.’
Wrongful death statutes come under personal injury laws. Wrongful death can be ‘immediate or delayed outcome of someone’s negligence and the misconduct or negligence causing the death.’ Since wrongful death statutes come under civil law, civilians can file cases against the defendants. These cases are easier to prove than the criminal ones because they are decided by the preponderance of the evidence, not clear and convincing evidence.
Each state has its own statute of limitation, after which a case can’t be brought to court. In Michigan, the discovery period is six months, but in the case of Miller v. Mercy Memorial Hospital Corp. the period was held to be three years.
The role of lawyers in these cases is to establish the negligence of the defendant, and to derive maximum compensation for the relatives of the deceased. This type of case takes a long time to be settled, so it is wise to engage a lawyer with good credentials.

There are many expenses that come with owning a car. How can you save money?
Often, saving money starts right at the beginning — with the purchase. If you are looking to buy a new car, you might consider going small. Generally, the smaller the car, the cheaper it is. Plus, smaller cars usually get better gas mileage.
The cheaper the vehicle, the cheaper the insurance premiums. You should pick out several different vehicles and then ask your agent for quotes on them. This way, there are no surprises after the deal is done.
Did you know that automatic transmissions get five miles per gallon less than manual transmission vehicles? If you know how to drive a stick, it might just save you some money. You can save money by keeping your car a little longer. Don’t simply trade in for a new vehicle every two to three years. You lose money through low trade-in values. Many dealers will try to push extras on you like credit life or disability insurance, service contracts, extended warranties and gap insurance. You are paying twice, but you will only be paid back once. The extended warranties usually aren’t worth what you are being charged. They are often very limited and are available directly from providers at a fraction of the dealer cost.
Once you have your car, you should make sure that you are fanatical about keeping up on maintenance. A poorly tuned car will use almost 33% more gasoline each year. By changing the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles, you are extending the life of your vehicle’s engine. Make sure that the air filter is clean to get the best possible gas mileage. Also make sure that your tires are filled to the appropriate psi.
You shouldn’t use a higher octane gasoline than recommended in your owner’s manual. Most cars don’t need high-octane gas, so it is simply a waste to your vehicle. Check your manual for the correct octane level for your vehicle.
When filling the gas tank, don’t top it off. When it is hot out, gas expands and it will simply run off. You are paying for what you are never using.
It isn’t hard to find ways to save money on vehicle expenses. The number one way is to drive less. Consider carpooling or walking. Park in one central location when running errands and walk from place to place. This not only saves gas, but gives a good work out.
