Rock with a Purpose Catholic Music Spotlight Interview with
David Wang, Critical Mass by Lisa M. Hendey
David Wang, founder and lead singer of the highly regarded
Catholic rock group Critical Mass, is one cool Catholic dad.
This husband, university professor, and homeschooling dad of
nine makes time to practice his lead vocals while driving or in
the late night hours. His dedication to his craft is impressive,
and even more so once you have the opportunity to sit down and
listen to one of Critical Mass’ CDs.
With their third project, Grasping for Hope in the Darkness,
this award winning band tells a compelling tale. While each of
the songs stands on its own merit, the cumulative effect is a
saga of overcoming sin and temptation, a life of tragedy and
despair, and an ultimate turning of the heart to find peace in
God. Music fans of “a certain age” will love the band’s cover of
the classic “Carry On Wayward Son” as much as their kids will
enjoy the updated take. As the mom of a teenager, I’m always
thrilled to find music that my son and I can both enjoy.
Critical Mass has given us that gift with Grasping for Hope in
the Darkness - its musicality is awesome and the storyline of
the project is both gripping and a message you’ll want to share
with the young people in your life.
In advance of their upcoming Fall Tour, I had an opportunity to
catch up with David Wang of Critical Mass. He shared the
following comments on the band, their latest CD and Catholic
rock today.
Q: David Wang and Critical Mass, please introduce us to the
current members of the band and give us a bit of history about
your group.
A: I am the founder of Critical Mass. Critical Mass has been
around since 1997 and we’ve released three studio albums. Faith
Looks Up was a demo recording but ended up winning Best Modern
Rock album awards from the United Catholic Music and Video
Association. Our sophomore album, Completely, won Best Rock
Album honors from the Canadian Gospel Music Association. That
led to our being one of the main bands for World Youth Day 2002
where the band performed music ministry for almost 1 million
people. If you were at the Papal Welcoming or the Papal Vigil,
you were listening to Critical Mass. The song, Share it With the
World, was on the World Youth Day compilation CD, which sold
40,000 copies. After WYD 2002, there was a turnover in band
members. The new members of Critical Mass bring a fresh, edgy
sound to live performances and we are now touring in support of
the album, Grasping for Hope in the Darkness, which is garnering
very good reviews.
Q: David, as a mom I have to ask, how does a dad of nine and a
university professor find time to write and perform Christian
Rock?
A: As with most Catholic musicians, this is a part time
endeavor. Most practices, studio time and songwriting occur
between the hours of 9pn and 1am. I practice a lot of my vocals
in the car whenever I am driving. Whereas some people would take
time to sit and watch television, I take all my spare time and
dedicate it to my music. With 9 kids, a vacation where we travel
is not necessarily restful so we often combine music tour dates
with an opportunity to travel. We home-school which gives us the
flexibility to hit the road occasionally.
Q: What do your wife and kids think of having a rock star for a
dad?
A: The kids have grown up with this. Jodie, my wonderful and
incredible wife, was part of the band until shortly after World
Youth Day 2002. She was one of the female vocalists on the
previous album. My kids sing a bit on this album and are quite
used to seeing their dad jump around on stage. In terms of being
a “rock star”, there really is no such thing in the Catholic
market. There is more of an attitude of serving than in the
secular markets.
Q: I’ve read reviews calling your newest CD “Grasping for Hope
in the Darkness” a “concept CD”. What came first - the songs or
the storyline? Can you share the creative process that went into
writing and recording this CD?
A: This CD does indeed have a story line. It is a concept album
and every song ties into the storyline. It has a very heavy Pink
Floyd “The Wall” influence. Some of the songs were written first
but it became very clear early on that this could be morphed
into a concept album. It took a bit to convince the producer,
Andrew Horrocks, that I wasn’t crazy but once he was sold on the
idea, everything clicked into place very quickly. One unusual
thing about this album, however, is that most of the words were
written first. This is opposite to the way most albums are
written but it was a necessity for a concept album.
Q: For our readers who haven’t yet heard the CD, give us an
overview of the storyline you present?
A: Essentially, it is a story about a man who is lured and
tempted away from God by secular things in his life, such as
money, power and pornography. He has a daughter, whom he
neglects, and she turns to a lurid lifestyle because of this.
She ends up getting pregnant is her father tries to convince her
to have an abortion. However, a kindly priest intervenes to save
the unborn child. The father is furious and confronts the priest
with much anger. Years later, however, the daughter dies
suddenly in a car accident and the father is distraught. Out of
despair, he returns to the priest and learns that his daughter
had found peace with God. This causes his heart to finally melt.
He is a changed man when he takes up the responsibility of
raising his granddaughter. At his death, he is finally reunited
with his daughter in heaven and with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Q: How did you decide to cover “Carry On Wayward Son” and can
you tell us about the rap featured in this song? What type of
reaction do you get when you play this song live?
A: Carry On is a song that I have always loved. The songwriter,
Kerry Livgren of Kansas, was searching for God during the time
that he wrote the song and he actually converted to Christianity
a few years later. I added a rap to make it more relevant to the
CD and I used it as an overture for the album at the start. It
was a real challenge to remain faithful to the original but also
to give it a contemporary feel.
Q: I have to ask you - what it was like to perform at Toronto’s
World Youth Day for the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II?
A: It was awe-inspiring. We were one of the fortunate few that
caught to witness our Holy Father’s suffering and strength from
up close. It was incredible how he drew strength from the youth.
Just when you thought he would have to stop from exhaustion, the
chanting from the youth seemed to reinvigorate him and he would
continue on. I think this is a model for how we should now
interact with him now that he is with God in heaven. I really
believe that he will be a powerful aid to the youth. I encourage
all youth to pray for intercession from this holy saint. I
picture the world’s youth continuing to reach out to JPII and I
picture him continuing to guide and lead the youth of the world.
Q: What is the future of Catholic rock? How can we help support
and encourage more great Catholic music?
A: We need more musicians to counter the secular influences in
popular culture. This includes not only rock but other genres of
music such as hip-hop. It also includes not only music but also
television, movies and other art forms. For centuries, the
Catholic Church has influenced the world through her music and
art. The Sistine chapel is such an example. It is now the time
to re-establish Catholic art as second-to-none in quality. A
recent example of the influence of this would be Mel Gibson’s
“Passion of the Christ”. However, as audiences did for this
superb film, we need Catholics to support Catholic musicians. It
takes finances and resources to produce music to compete with
the secular counterparts in terms of qualities. Catholics need
to start buying catholic music and going to concerts.
Q: What do Catholic kids want in their music? How can Catholic
parents help their kids tune in to music that elevates the soul
and spirit?
A: Catholic parents have to start to understand the influence of
music in the child’s life. I have had some parents refuse to buy
Catholic rock but are troubled when their kids start to sing and
listen to the garbage that is not only on the radio but is
everywhere around us, from stores to the television to their
friend’s mp3 players. They try to buy very traditional Catholic
music and force their children to listen to it. What we have
found is the opposite. We produce rock that sounds and feels
like what they listen to now. We try to touch their lives in a
subliminal way, in much the same way that secular messages seep
into their brains through repeated listening. If the kids can
maintain that contact, however frail, with the messages of the
Church, then we have found that the kids eventually return to
the sacraments, particularly the Eucharist and Confession.
Surprisingly, at this point, many of the kids do start to listen
to more traditional music (Gregorian chant, for example) and
have a deeper appreciation for the ancient traditions of our
faith.
Q: Some feel that rock music comes from the devil and that one
shouldn’t use rock music to try to glorify God. How do you feel
about this?
A: I believe that art is neutral. It is the lyrical content that
makes it either spiritual or secular. There are some that say
that the rhythms of rock music are derived from African tribal
beats. That may be true but to say that traditional folk music
from Africa is somehow evil is prejudice in its ugliest form.
One must remember that the organ and piano were once considered
by the church to be secular and profane instruments. Even
Gregorian chant, one of Catholicism’s great contributions to
music, comes from Gregory the Great’s time (590-604). Music has
always been in a state of change and transition.
Q: Tell us about your upcoming Fall Tour. We are touring Canada
in the fall and we will be doing many US dates in 2006, which
will be the focus of our ministry.

Revamped for 2005, the Western Athletic Conference has added New Mexico State, Idaho, and Utah State. Even with these additions, the teams to beat are Fresno State and Boise State. The WAC has two automatic bowl bids and the rest of the WAC will be watching the bowl games. November 12, when Boise plays at Fresno State will determine the conference champion
2005 Predicted Order of Finish
1. FRESNO STATE
After closing out the 2004 with six consecutives victories, including a bowl victory over Virginia, the Bulldogs are sure that they can beat last season’s record. Part of the reason is that they have nine starters back for the offense, including senior quarterback Paul Pinegar. Also coming back will be their running back, Bryson Sumlin. There will very few holes to fill on the defense. They have returned almost the entire unit led by All-WAC defensive tackle Garret McIntryre.
2. BOISE STATE
With 17 starters returning, the Broncos plan to improve on their almost perfect record of 2004. With the exception of their loss in the Liberty Bowl, it would have been the dream season. The offensive is led by Daryn Colledge in the line and senior Jared Zabransky at quarterback. Besides having a passing attack, they can count their leading rusher Lee Marks. The only junior, linebacker Korey Hall will be the leader on defense.
3. NEW MEXICO STATE
Paul Dombrowski, quarterback and wide receiver, and leading rusher Muammar Ali will be the backbone of the offense. The defense has six returning starters including linebacker Jimmy Cottrell. Contrell has led the team in tackles for three consecutive years.
4. NEVADA
Wide receiver Nichiren Flowers will try to beat his 2004 record of 91 receptions along with quarterback Jeff Rowe will be the focal point of an explosive offense. The defense has linebacker Jeremy Engstrom and defensive lineman J.J. Milan returning along with six other members of the defensive unit. However, they will have to be better than in 2004 if they are going to be contenders.
5. LOUISIANA TECH
Freddie Franklin will start as the running back. However look out for freshman Patrick Jackson who rushed for more than 3,000 yards and 58 touchdowns during his senior year in high school. All three linebackers, including Bryon Santiago, have returned.
6. HAWAII
The Warriors will have a completely new offense with quarterback Timmy Chang taking over at quarterback. Michigan transferee Kainoa Akina will be handling the center duties on the offensive line. Three members of the defensive secondary will provide a stable influence.
7. IDAHO
The Vandals have an experience team on both sides of the ball. Running backs Jayson Bird (859 yards0 and Rolly Lumbala (614 yards) along with quarterback Michael Harrington return for the offense. A good group of linebackers, led by Cole Snyder (136 tackles last season) is the core of the defense. There a total of eight defensive returning starters.
8. SAN JOSE STATE
For a team that went 2-9 last year, it will be a tough conference. There is one excellent receiver, Rufus Skillern, on the team. There is only one quarterback (Adam Tafralis) on the team with any experience. Safety Josh Powell anchors the defense. In short, the Spartans are going to struggle.
9. UTAH STATE
Utah State needs a quarterback to go along with Chris Forbes, who led the team in rushing last season (396 yards, 3.7 yards per carry). Wide receivers Tony Pennyman and Kevin Robinson are solid. It is going to be hard for Utah State to improve on their 3-8 record from 2004.

Klein mountain bikes have always been a showcase for innovation, and attention to detail.
If you believe that the little things in life can make a huge difference, you’ll understand the philosophy and strategy at the Klein company.
The detail apparent in any Klein mountain bike, is the reason this name lives up to - and surpasses - all expectations.
The superior welds on a Klein mountain bike are a case in point. They have developed a proprietary welding process which results in smooth, void free welds. These not only look better than anything else on the market, but are also stronger.
Testing has proven that the welds have to endure most of the stress on a mountain bike frame. As a result, the welds on a Klein mountain bike, receive most of the attention! The goal is to get rid of the typical bumps and pits in normal welding.
Another area benefiting from the Klein eye for detail, is cable routing. The internal cable routing system, with “dimples” in strategic places, is said to improve the aerodynamics of the Klein mountain bike frame. This touch also helps to disperse stress on the frame through additional flexibility.
Gary Klein’s experiments with aluminum frames started in 1973. Klein mountain bikes now sport a proprietary alloy with improved strength. This allows for thinner tube walls, and has lowered frame weight by 15 percent.
In fact, Klein holds eighteen patents on bicycle design improvements. This helps them to keep their rides are smoother and lighter than many a competitor!
Not the least of Klein’s attention goes to the painting process. Craftspeople paint every Klein mountain bike its signature color by hand, and again with a lot of attention to detail. Even the graphics are embedded into the frame’s finish!
If this sounds like the kind of quality and craftsmanship you should be looking into, there are a number of Klein mountain bikes to try out!
One example is the Klein Attitude XX hardtail, with Shimano components for confident shifting and braking. This bike, with immediate steering and precise handling, can successfully tackle almost any terrain. It’s light, stiff, and strong ZR9000 aluminum frameset will help you retain positive control at all times. Bontrager wheels and tires will carry you over the roughest terrain.
Also take a look at the full-suspension Palomino XV. This Klein mountain bike is designed to maximize traction and power to the rear wheel, and to conquer just about any type of terrain you care to go for! For premier fork performance, you don’t have to look further than the Fox F100 RLT. The Palomino features Bontrager Race disc tubeless wheels.
With a Klein mountain bike you will find that no detail has been left to chance. When you and your Klein tackle the trail, you may very well discover that the mountain has mysteriously turned into a mole hill…

Customizable metal pegboard is set to revolutionise utensil storage. For forty years the limitations of fibreboard has narrowed our imagination in utensil storage.
Is your utility room, garage or workshop cluttered with tools and equipment and impossible to move around in without knocking over stacks of junk that you forgot was even there? Well now it’s time to move the clutter from the floor to the walls and free-up all that space and make finding utensils, tools and other items easy with striped pegboard panels or regular wall panels.
The best wall storage systems you can find are the hardboard and fiberboard wall panels with grooved, pegged, slat, and holed slits which are designed for holding tools and utensils firmly and safely with panel fixtures.
Traditionally there was just fibre board panels or pegboards available for consumers these came generally in 4ft by 8ft panels, a quarter inch thick, and had either slits or holes, available for the last 40 years they have served thier purpose well but were restricted in utility and function and were not designed for much customization, now you can buy striped pegboard panels or custom colored panels made from metal.
Common faults with fibre board panels were the fixtures often popped off when you removed tools, an annoying habit that is remedied today with metal wall panels that require a special movement to unfix a fixture, ensuring the fixtures stay put when you remove a tool.
A metal striped pegboard panel will not be damaged by moisture or water damage and will not warp under extreme temperature and physical conditions. A metal striped pegboard panel will not chip or sag from the weight of the tools it supports, there is also the danger of the fine fibre particles themselves from the pegboard which can enter the lungs and cause much damage to your health.
The market has now met the demand for diversity and customization that wall storage consumers have been demanding in the past, the standard white hardboard pegboard is obsolete and costwize only a little cheaper than it’s new modern metal counterpart which is almost endless in the ways it can be customized by the consumer and has many varieties of design, color and utility that would meet any and all detailed requirements of a buyer.
This is custom colored pegboard and is made from metal, it is durable and will outlast the traditional hard board peg board by many decades. Designed with utility in mind these metal pegboard panels have both round peg board holes and thin vertical slots placed side by side on the metal wall panels in rows.
This allows for multiple generic hooks and fixtures to be used on these metal grooved and pegboard wall panels, thus expanding your choice of uses and versatility, you can virtually hang anything now in whatever configuration you wish to design.
Rob Lear designed http://www.Bestwallpanels.com as an article rich advice site on wall panels, pegboard and custom pegboard to better inform the consumer. Rob has been in the business for 20 years.

The true Angler Fish lives in both shallow and deep water and there is regularly confusion over their identity as either Angler Fish or Monkfish. It is more a case that there is more than one variety of both and at some point the two species cross over. Some Angler Fish can legitimately be called Monkfish and vice versa, but then again, there are some Monkfish (although equally entitled to the name) which are actually from the Shark family. To go into that further would involve getting into the Latin names of the species which I’m not going to do here!
It is not the sort of fish that most people target but more the type that you would happen upon by accident when fishing for Flatties. They’re prefered habitat is a sandy/mud seabed but gravel or shell beds also offer much of an attraction where they eat anything in their path, especially smaller fish and shellfish. Their enormous mouths are adorned with large, extremely sharp and backwards facing teeth and they even have teeth in their throats so as to stop their prey from escaping until it has been safely swallowed.
It is, therefore, advisable to use a wire rig when targeting Angler Fish!
A good rig to use would be the standard paternoster or flapper rig with a grip lead as an anchor on the bottom and a flowing hook trace of about 3-4 feet. This allows the bait to move freely and naturally just above the seabed giving a great presentation and covering a wider area. Good baits to try would be baitfish such as Launce, Sandeel or a strip of Mackerel, Shellfish or Squid. Use a strong forged hook.
Scotland is a good place for Angler Fish including marks such as the islands of the Firth of Forth and the Summer Isles. Also, the offshore reefs around Wales, many areas within the Irish Channel and around the Isle of Man, and the northern and southern coasts of Devon and Cornwall.
If you catch an Angler Fish, it is advised that you operate a catch and release system as the Angler Fish has been suffering from a certain amount of overfishing due to its lovely flavour. Although it is only the tail of this fish which can be eaten the taste has been likened to lobster and they are sometimes used as mock scampi. We would definitely recommend that you release any Angler Fish to fight another day!

Is your marketing plan dull, flat, and downright boring? Is it lacking the zest and appeal which can penetrate the consciousness of your buyers? If so, you may be driving away folks who could easily buy your products or services. If so, these ten signs from The 90 Day Marketing Marathon Blunders from A to Z: B is for Boring will support you in raising your awareness of what drives folks away and tips on how you can create a message which will catch fire in the market place.
1. It’s all about you.
Folks are not interested in you and your accolades. They want to know what you can do to solve their problem of the day. Drop the focus on you, and turn the spotlight on what is important to your buyer.
2. It is filled with details and research.
People are bogged down in details and statistics. They are much more interested in buying from someone who shares their personal experiences and who is willing to build an open and honest relationship.
3. It lacks action-oriented words.
People love to buy Nike products, because the words “Just Do It” communicate action. By using words such as run, dance, live, sing, move, or play, you will get your potential clients moving, excited about buying your product or service.
4. You have nothing new to offer.
People are bored with the same old same old. Put yourself on the bleeding edge of your profession by taking advantage of the new tools and resources which are out of the norm. (Example: In Coaching, we take advantage of modern online survey tools and blogging tools which breathe new life into our businesses.)
5. Your message drips of “neediness.”
If your marketing message is focused on “sell, sell, sell,” you will send the message that you are needy, which will drive customers away. Communicate your willingness to provide value, and you will develop raving fans.
6. Your message lacks “color.”
An advertisement can be delivered in black and white, still have “color,” and paint an amazing picture. Use powerful words which will grab the attention of your potential customers such as discover (suggests excitement), proven (sends a message of peace of mind), and savings (everyone wants more money and more time).
7. You are marketing on the surface.
People buy based on emotions. If you are selling shampoo, don’t just sell shampoo…sell beautiful hair. If you are selling heating and air units, sell comfort and warmth. If you are selling a vacation, sell a luxurious day on the beach and romantic walks under the stars.
8. It lacks your personality.
Even if you are selling widgets, folks want to know who is selling the widgets. Why? Because they want to know you can be trusted to deliver as promised. Use fun photographs and life stories so that your buyers can get a closer look at your life. The connection you will make will be unforgettable.
9. Your message lacks “added value.”
Studies show that people will buy if the value perceived is worth the investment. If you are charging nickels and dimes for small extras, you will quickly drive buyers away. People who “nit pick” over incidentals are often considered to be “uptight” and “inflexible.” Yawn!!! Drop the nit-picking, and over deliver by adding extra value. Folks will love you for it!
10. You are playing “Follow the Leader.”
People want to buy from people who are leaders. Be bold and unique in what you stand for in your business, and make this known on your website, in your brochures, and in the articles you write. You will position yourself as someone who is unique, confident, and someone who is worthy of trust.

Be nice to yourself and indulge in one of nature’s awesome
creations. It’s true we don’t actually NEED flowers in our daily
schedules BUT since when did humans stick to what they needed!
Giving a gift of flowers is always a thoughtful, if not
provocative, experience and is a gift that is definitely not
about money. A large bouquet from the local florist will no
doubt be beautiful and well worth the cash it costs. And
equally, the small bouquet of wildflowers lovingly collected by
an adored one will bring joy into your life.
Sprays of dried flowers and grasses can make beautiful displays
in your home over holiday seasons, or why not everyday?
Flowers are pressed into scrapbooks and journals. They are also
pressed for their scent and many perfumes are flower-based. Oils
are extracted for natural remedies and cosmetic applications.
Flower preparations can be time-consuming to produce and
therefore often expensive to the consumer. The absolute best way
round this is to go directly to the source and Grow your own!
It doesn’t matter what month it is or what the weather’s playing
at. You can still plan your flower garden. The choice of
flowers, plants and herbs available is so extraordinary, you may
as well start planning straight away!
Your flower garden can include all kinds of practical plants as
well as looking gorgeous…
Herbs attract the nice guys in the bug world which in
turn helps rid your flower bed of the pests! Thyme flowers are
so delicate and beautiful they really shouldn’t be allowed!
Edible flowers include marigolds, nasturtiums and even
some roses. NB: double check on edible -ility before you pop a
plant in your mouth!
Decide on themes, colours, scents and set about choosing your
favourite blooms. A beautiful flower display takes a lot of
careful planning - or alternatively you could buy a wildflower
mix and scatter the seed randomly. Nature is often it’s own
favourite artist!
If you’re still not convinced, browse through a few gardening
catalogues. Wake up and smell the flowers - you won’t remember
how you lived without them!

There’s 100s of locations for eating in The capital, this is mainly thanks to the distinct peoples the city encompasses, so almost everything you really crave might be pretty near at hand. In case you’re not seeking to shop and you have to do practically anything, apart from wining and dining within mind-blowing cafes, then there are tons of general attractions, museums & galleries to scout out.
The following is a general note of a small number of of the ones we like:
The city’s London Eye really must be investigated on your foray to London. Their more than 30 modules carries the people around and, due to the way in which it’s put together, the wheel enables people to spy a full panorama, provided you’re at peak of the wheel. You regularly organise the tickets for the Millennium Wheel on-line which is a good bit of advice as it saves folks tonnes of time. The Millennium Wheel is definitely one day out when visitors must not forget to have their digital cameras.
London’s Natural History Museum deals with understanding the incredible nature all around us and is probably to be something that could well agree with all the assorted age groups. Save the entire day-out for this attraction as it can take the best part of the the day-out, just to walk around and savour the rooms.
The Tate Modern exhibition can be located inside a reformed power plant & it’s got an overwhelming seat directly opposite St Paul’s Cathedral bordering the River. Time Out London have an excellent guide to what’s going on in London.
People will often visit the wheel many times because it is free entry. The displays change regularly and consequently it is similar to visiting for the 1 st time, each time you visit. People should usually discover huge pieces in the big space. Directly outside the main building you’ll see the Millennium Bridge which is incredible.

Most people can write. Some can even write well. But only a few individuals can write as quickly and persuasively as a professional writer. Effective communication requires a well-crafted message that is interesting to your audience. Anything less is a waste of your time and money.
Professional writers can develop a wide variety of documents including proposals, advertising and design copy, content for websites, sales letters, strategic plans, brochures, and newsletters. An organization looking for the best value should consider the following benefits of hiring a professional writer:
1. Save time: Your time is valuable. Effective writing and editing is labor intensive and can constrict your already-tight schedule. Hiring a professional writer allows you to focus on your many other priorities.
2. Meet your deadlines: Professional writers thrive on meeting deadlines. They can help your organization complete that pressing project on time.
3. Get your message across: Perhaps you are intending to sell a product, educate your audience, or improve staff morale. Your brochure, proposal, report, newsletter, or website should be effective and produce your desired results. Powerful and clear writing will work to inform, persuade, and motivate your reader to take action.
4. Research the topic effectively: Writing about a service, product, program, or person often requires fact gathering such as online research, interviews, supporting anecdotes, and statistics. Writers are experts in obtaining background information.
5. Clean and polish: Once you’ve written your rough draft, a professional writer can help you organize its structure, add additional information, tighten the copy, and spice it up with creative details. They can also help make your writing more compelling and persuasive.
6. Improve the effectiveness of design: A well-designed promotional piece requires strong copywriting. If you have compelling graphics, you’ll invite people to begin reading. However, powerful content is what will keep them reading. Professional writing can ensure the success of your design efforts by keeping your audience interested.
You can decide to write your own content for your marketing materials. However, unless you are a strong writer and enjoy the process, hiring a professional writer will allow you to focus on your core business competencies. An experienced professional will create content designed to sell your products/services, drive traffic to your website, and make people sit up and take notice of your company. Like many other marketing costs, a professional writer is an investment in your business that, over time, will bring in many times more than you spent.
