A Short Term Tactic for Capturing More Profits

Filed under: Universe Of Investment — admin @ 7:06 pm

It is called “dividend capture”. This strategy is executed
when a trader buys a stock just before the ex-dividend date, so
that he or she will be a shareholder of record on the record
date, and will receive the dividend. Because the stock falls by
the amount of the dividend on the ex-dividend date, the
strategy calls for the trader to then wait for the stock to
move back to the price where he or she bought it before the
ex-dividend date. At this point, the stock is sold for a
break even trade. Thus the dividend is received, or captured by
the trader with no further exposure to the movement in the
stock price after it is sold for a break even.

When attempting to execute this short term trading strategy,
look for stocks with high volume, and a relatively large
dividend payment. Higher volume facilitates exiting the
position without affecting the stock price. The high dividend
allows for more profit potential. Use of a discount broker is
also beneficial as it will reduce the overall cost of the
trade, and increase the return of implementing the strategy.
Please note that this is an aggressive trading strategy, and
not appropriate for everyone. Study the concept. “Paper
trading”, or practicing the strategy before using actual money
is always a prudent step when implementing new strategies
into your portfolio of trading tools.

Research Steps for Your Niche Business

Filed under: Universe Of Marketing — admin @ 8:07 pm

You have developed an idea and come up with a product. How can you tell if you are marketing to the right niche? Here are some steps to research your niche market.

You may want to begin with some informal research. Check out on-line forums and other websites that feature similar products or information. How well promoted are they? How is their copy? Is their information appealing and easy to find? Are sites on your topic abundant, or hard to find?

Next, use the Overture search area at http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool
to see if others are paying for your keywords. Enter the keyword and sit back. You will be taken to a page with some of the top advertisers links. Click on “View Advertisers Max Bid” and review the results. This page shows what the advertisers are paying for a person to access their page. These vendors would only pay if the niche market were active enough to get them traffic, so a decent per click rate (say about $1) is a good sign.

Next, examine how many searches were done on your keyword for the previous month. You can do this at http://www.inventory.overture.com. Type in your keyword and note the results. Sum up all the searches for all the keyword phrases and combinations.

Next, take a look at how many listings there are for your keywords on Google. Do a google search by keywords searches and note the number of sites listed for each keyword phrase. Add up all the sites for all the relevant keyword phrases.

The ratio of the searches divided by the number of sites is an indicator of the competition. The lower the ratio, the less competition on that keyword phrase.

After comparing several different keyword phrases, you should be able to choose the phrase that will get you into a good niche market. Optimize those keywords and good luck!

Malignant Mesothelioma Research

Filed under: Medical Infos — admin @ 7:44 pm

Malignant mesotheliomas are highly aggressive cancers, usually linked to asbestos exposure. Most patients survive approximately one year after diagnosis, and only seven percent of patients make it past five years. If not diagnosed early, these cancers are extremely difficult to treat. However, early diagnosis is a challenge because patients may be unaware of previous asbestos exposure or present with non-specific symptoms.

Research is currently underway to better understand how these cancers develop, and how to improve survival. The American Cancer Society and National Cancer Institute are good resources for information on ongoing clinical trials and enrollment criteria. Treatment options being researched can broadly be classified into radiotherapy, light or photodynamic therapy, drug or chemotherapy, biotherapy and immunotherapy. While radiotherapy is palliative in chest pain and chest wall spread, it has no effect on survival. Photodynamic therapy is being evaluated for earlier stages of malignant pleural mesothelioma; it combines the injection of a drug that makes cancer cells sensitive to light with the use of light of a certain wavelength to kill these cells.

A promising clinical trial showed patients with advanced malignant mesothelioma lived for nearly three months longer than a comparison group when treated with a drug combination of Alimta and cisplatin. The University of Chicago’s Cancer Research Center is leading a trial that combines the anti-cancer drugs gemcitabine and cisplatin, which kill cancer cells, with the biological agent bevacizumab, which slows the growth of cancerous tissue and blood vessels in this tissue. Researchers at the National Cancer Institute have identified a protein called mesothelin that is present in higher levels in mesothelioma cancer cells than in surrounding normal tissue. This knowledge is being used in ongoing clinical trials of vaccines that could kill cancer cells by triggering an anti-mesothelin immune response, and is also being used to develop diagnostic tests to detect rising mesothelin levels in people with malignant mesothelioma.

Malignant Mesothelioma provides detailed information about malignant mesothelioma, diffuse malignant pleural mesothelioma, malignant mesothelioma diagnosis, malignant mesothelioma lawyer and more. Malignant Mesothelioma is the sister site of Peritoneal Mesothelioma Lawyers.

VoIP - Why Some People Use It

Filed under: Hall Of Telecommunication — admin @ 7:11 pm

Why do some people choose to use VoIP over the local telephone company service?

While there are many possible answers to the question above, I’d like to point out a few reasons that I’ve personally seen or heard of. Being a small business owner, I for one made the decision based on cost. So let’s start there.

Before switching to VoIP, I was using my local RBOC (Regional Bell Operating Company) and a large long distance provider. My local RBOC bill averaged $25.00 per month and my long distance bill could be as low as $15 per month or as high as $150 per month. The first thing I switched was my long distance provider. By switching I saw an immediate cost reduction. This was certainly a step in the right direction. Bottom line was that before switching to VoIP my monthly phone bill was $40 to $165 per month, which I was able to reduce to $29 to $100 per month. This was still not good enough given the range of the monthly cost. I needed a way to budget a fixed amount. Enter VoIP. After switching to VoIP my monthly bill including E911 fee and all taxes comes out to just under $25 a month. That, for me, was the bottom line. Cost savings.

One of my customers switched to VoIP for not only the cost savings, but also the convenience. You see his daughter was going off to college in another state. He wanted his daughter to be able to call home at anytime and not worry about long distance charges. He took the option of a virtual number. When using VoIP area codes mean little. The call is routed through your broadband connection. To a computer, area codes don’t mean anything. It’s just data flowing through the internet. By using VoIP and a virtual number allowed this customer to choose a virtual number in the same area code as his daughters. Every time his daughter calls home, she dials his virtual number (local number), which then rings at his home in another state. He gets to speak with her all the time and she pays for a local call. So in this case it wasn’t cost alone, but the convenience as well.

Here’s one last example of a family who had a son serving in the military in Europe. This family chose to use a videophone and purchased 2 such phones. When their son was sent to Europe he brought the phone with him. Since he had access to a broadband connection, he simply plugged his phone in and was able to call home. Yes, a LOCAL call! Not only that, but he was able to actually ’see’ his family. This setup consisted of 2 videophones and two accounts. His family could call him, or he could call his family. In both cases it was charged as a local call (even though he was stationed in Europe and his family was state side). If this wasn’t good enough, by using the videophone, they could actually SEE each other. This is really VoIP in action. The son in the military was still able to ’see’ the Christmas tree, participate in birthday parties and so much more.

There are many reasons for switching to VoIP and the examples above are certainly not inclusive. Whatever your reasons for considering this service, chances are there is a provider and plan to fit your needs.

Focal Point Of Success

Filed under: Lifestyle + More — admin @ 4:43 pm

Fortune will flow into your hands like a river flow into the sea if only you can invest a high percent of your time on a high value activity with big pay off.

I mean you can attract great riches into your life when you harbitually focus all your heart and mind on that critical action that will lead you to attaining your much cherish goal.Let me tell you, you can achieve anything in life when you concentrate all your mental and physical energies to work on one particular task that gives you the maximum result.

It was the nineteeth century economist and sociologist Vilfredo Pareto who propounded the principle that given a large number of items, a high percentage of the value of the item is concentrated in relatively few of the items. This principle came about over time when Pareto discovered that eighty percent of the land in Italy then were owned by twenty percent of the population. When you applied this principle into your life your productivity will notch up by as much as fifity percent. And you can get this done when you identify your most important task and focus singlemendely to doing it. Then delegate, outsource or completely eliminate tasks that of low value.

Do you want to succedd in life? Success begins with a clear decision. Decide exactly what is it that you want. Then commit yourself zelously to its attainment with unswerving determination. Clarity is everthing. You must be absolutely clear about what you want. Then set a goal which must be clearly written down. A goal is a deliberate selected result towards which you choose to channel all your activity. A goal is like a harbour where the captain directs his ship. After you have set your goal then construct a step by step plan that will take you to that goal. You must develop a dogged resilience to follow through your plan regardless of obstacles.

If you decide exactly what you want in life, make a realistic plan and confidently pursue that plan I tell you, there is absolutely nothing you can not achieve as Paul J. Meyer observed; whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.

Choosing the Right House Plan

Filed under: Home Improvement Management — admin @ 3:06 pm

Choosing The Right House Plan

Everybody would like to live in a mansion or a sprawling ranch but there are many factors to consider when choosing a house plan. There are also a few pitfalls that can be avoided by doing your homework and making the right choices.

Before you commit to buying a stock or custom house plan, you should know how much of a house you can afford to build. A good place to get this information would be the bank that you might use to get your loan from.

Once you know what your budget is, you can determine how much house you can afford and pick a house plan that fits that budget. One way to accomplish this is to call several homebuilding contractors in your area. Ask them what the building costs per square foot are. Not all contractors are willing to volunteer this information, but you will find enough of them that are willing to help at the prospect of gaining a customer.

With this information you will be able to determine the square footage of a house plan you can afford. If your budget is $200,000 and the cost per square foot is $100, then a 2,000 square foot home is in your budget($200,000/$100= 2,000).

Another consideration is the size of the lot you intend on building your home. You don’t want to invest in a blueprint for a house that won’t fit on your lot. Check with your municipality or county on the distances you must have between the building and the lot lines. Most have rules on how much backyard you must have and how much your house must be set back from the street or building line.

Some towns and subdivisions also have what are called covenants. These are rules that dictate what you can and cannot build. Some of these covenants might include the minimum square footage house you can build, brick or frame construction, minimum roof pitch, and types of building materials you are allowed to use.

These are some of the important things you must consider. Building a new home the biggest investment you’ll ever make. Doing a little homework will keep you from getting an unwanted surprise and wasting time and money on a plan you can’t use.

Article Directories: A Match Made In Heaven?

Filed under: Corporate Evangelism — admin @ 7:17 pm

Most marketers realize today that content is king and there is no faster vehicle to increase traffic and receive publicity than writing articles.

This is where the article directory comes into play. Writers are able to submit their articles to these online databases where content hungry webmasters, blogsters, and other internet marketers can find free content for their websites, newsletters, and ezines.

Article writers gain credibility as an expert in their field as well as gaining a link back to their website. Link popularity is increased with the added advantage that this can be achieved with a low advertising budget and very little effort.

Hence this marriage was made in heaven. Article directories are not only provided fresh content on a daily basis (thereby scoring high in the search engines), but are also given the opportunity to build considerable revenue from affiliate programs (such as Google, Clickbank, and others), as well as building an extensive opt-in email list of potential customers.

Another by-product of having an article directory is the chance to gain knowledge of subjects other than one’s own interests. Articles on the arts, business, communications, computers, health, fashion, finance, food, home and family, politics, recreation, self-improvement, travel, vehicles, and writing are all available to read at one’s leisure.

Meeting other writers, publishers, editors, and programmers can really expand your horizon. The ability to joint-venture with these parties can prove to be more than a bonus.

It’s a win-win situation for both the article writer as well as the article directory owner that continues to grow exponentially each day.

Cholesterol: A Friend or Foe?

Filed under: House Of Health — admin @ 3:57 pm

Cholesterol is said to be the fatty, waxy and lipid substance
circulating in the bloodstream providing much needed fat to the
body. Being the most important substance it not only produces
sex hormones but also guards the arteries by providing a
covering coat to them. Till now majority of the people and
experts are confused whether to call cholesterol a friend or foe.

Cholesterol has proved its importance time and again but also
never fails to show it’s after affects. According to the experts
if the cholesterol is under control and to a certain level it is
a boon in disguise but when it exceeds its limit it becomes a
bane. Our body is capable enough to produce 85% of cholesterol
leaving 15% to fulfill from meat and dairy products. Cholesterol
always acts as a friend when it is in control and in certain
limit. As it provides the body with the energy and heat required
at the time of winters. Overall our body contains 150 grams of
cholesterol making 0.2% of our total body weight, which
constitutes to be the important body requirement. But some feel
it as an enemy as they tend to have high level of cholesterol.
High cholesterol is generally accompanied with array of heart
diseases like heart attack, heart failure or even coronary heart
disease.

There are many ways to reduce the cholesterol level like by
consuming less oily food, cutting down the consumption of dairy
and meat products and also going in for regular exercises and
bodily movements. Primarily there are two types of cholesterols
known as High Density Cholesterol and Low Density Cholesterol.
It is wise to have higher density cholesterol in the body
instead of lower density cholesterol as it is the doorway to
many heart and liver related diseases. Generally doctors advice
to zero on natural reduction of cholesterol instead of having
medications as they are attached with many side effects which
can be muscular malfunctioning, liver diseases and affecting
digestive system too.

Seeing it’s positive and negative sides simultaneously it is
very difficult to jump on to the conclusion that whether
cholesterol is a friend or foe in disguise. It just depends upon
the person and the level of cholesterol circulating in his body.
So if a person is having high cholesterol then it is his enemy
whereas if it’s on lower side it’s your perfect friend for life.
Making you live a happy and healthy life.
